About Emily

Emily Enright, B. Sc., RTO(c)
Registered Orthotic Technician, Business & Operations Manager

Like many on the Boundless team, Emily has a degree in kinesiology, which is the study of human movement. After graduating, she knew she wanted to be in the health care field, but wasn’t sure which sector would be the best fit. After some research and exploration, she felt that that prosthetics and orthotics, with its unique blend of art and science, matched her skill set and interests.

As senior technician at Boundless, Emily plays a crucial role in day-to-day operations. She manages much of what happens behind the scenes including making sure that the technical lab is operating efficiently, devices are fabricated on time, quality is maintained, and patients go home happy.

Emily has also taught part time at George Brown College’s Prosthetic & Orthotic Technical Program, focusing on Fabrication Theory and Laboratory procedures. She continues to be an educator, acting as a mentor/teacher for students and young technical interns who are completing their placements at Boundless, and who will one day lead the way in orthotics. 

Long term, she sees herself having a more multidisciplinary role at Boundless, optimizing the efficiencies of the front and back offices from an operations perspective. She also wants to take on a more active role in the growth of the profession. As she puts it, “You just can’t talk about doing things. You have to put in the time to make them happen.”

Emily holds an Honours B. Sc. in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University, and completed the Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician Program at George Brown College in 2007. She attained her registration in 2010. She sits on multiple National sub-committees within Orthotics Prosthetics Canada. (OPC).
